The flag of Canada has a red band at each side and a wide white band in the middle, with a red maple leaf on it. It is known as the Maple Leaf flag.
Where did the flag come from?
For nearly a hundred years, Canada had no official national flag of its own. A flag called the Red Ensign was often used in its place.
